Window Graphics
Printed and cut graphics for glass storefronts, leasing, promotions, brand identity, and privacy.

S2 designs, produces, and installs commercial vinyl graphics for storefronts, offices, properties, interiors, and branded sign systems across Colorado.
The correct film depends on the surface, visibility, privacy, removal plan, viewing distance, light, texture, and service life—not simply whether the customer calls it a sticker.

Each page answers a different customer question rather than repeating a generic “custom graphics” pitch.

Adhesive vinyl works because the film, adhesive, surface energy, texture, temperature, cleaning, and installation pressure are compatible. A film that performs beautifully on smooth glass may fail on textured low-VOC wall paint. A high-tack film that solves one rough surface may damage another during removal.
S2 begins with the surface and expected service life, then selects the graphic method. We also consider whether the viewer is inside or outside, whether privacy changes at night, how close people stand, and whether the graphics must be removed for a tenant or campaign change.
Production choices
The strongest system may use one or both, plus laminate, masking, or a separate substrate.
| Method | What it does well | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Cut vinyl | Solid-color letters, logos, borders, hours, arrows, privacy patterns, and repeatable markings | No photographic gradients unless separate colors or printed elements are added. |
| Printed vinyl | Full color, photographs, textures, gradients, maps, promotions, and complex branding | Requires appropriate resolution, color setup, laminate, and edge planning. |
| Perforated film | Large outside-facing image with partial daytime view from inside | Nighttime privacy reverses when the interior is brighter; hole pattern reduces image density. |
| Frosted film | Privacy and etched-glass appearance while transmitting light | Does not create complete visual blockage in every lighting condition. |
| Translucent film | Color and graphics intended to transmit light in an illuminated sign or window | Must be evaluated under illumination; printed color can change when lit. |
| Opaque blockout film | Covers the view and provides a solid graphic field | Interior darkness, seams, removal, and window thermal conditions need consideration. |
Installation
Access, temperature, glass condition, paint cure, silicone, dust, wind, and customer traffic all influence the installation plan.
Material, dimensions, seams, frames, texture, damage, silicone, coatings, and access are documented.
Adhesive, finish, opacity, removability, print compatibility, laminate, and expected life are matched to the site.
Scale, panel breaks, bleed, cut paths, safe margins, viewing side, and orientation are resolved.
Spelling, color, dimensions, privacy coverage, and final placement are approved.
Film is printed, laminated, cut, weeded, masked, tiled, labeled, and inspected.
Glass or wall is cleaned using compatible methods; obstacles and traffic are controlled.
Graphics are aligned, applied, heated or rolled where required, trimmed, and detailed at edges.
Bubbles, contamination, seams, edges, cut lines, and overall appearance are checked before closeout.
Care + removal
Sharp scrapers, abrasive pads, harsh solvents, pressure-washer edges, repeated picking, and aggressive window-cleaning tools can damage graphics. Printed edges and seams deserve extra care. Frosted film can show oil from hands. Clear glass exposes contamination at every edge.
Removal should be planned before a tenant turnover or campaign deadline. Age, sun, cold, adhesive, surface condition, paint, and access determine whether a film releases cleanly or requires heat, adhesive removal, and surface repair.
A film described as removable still needs a compatible surface and a realistic removal window. S2 does not promise damage-free removal from unknown or failing paint.
Price + timing
Send straight-on photos, rough width and height, the logo or exact message, whether the graphics are viewed from inside or outside, the privacy goal, and the target removal or replacement date if known.
For wall graphics, include the paint age and texture. For storefronts, show the entire glass system—not only one pane.
Common questions
S2 produces and installs storefront and window graphics, frosted privacy film, perforated window graphics, door lettering and suite identification, wall graphics, cut-vinyl logos and copy, decals, and supporting commercial display prints.
No. Vehicle wraps are not an S2 service. The company focuses its vinyl and graphics work on buildings, glass, doors, walls, panels, displays, and complete commercial sign projects.
Printed vinyl carries full-color images, gradients, photographs, and complex artwork on a film. Cut vinyl uses solid-color film cut into separate letters, logos, borders, or shapes. Some projects combine both.
Many films are designed for removable or changeable use, but clean removal depends on film type, age, sun exposure, surface, paint, adhesive, and installation. “Removable” does not guarantee that an old or poorly prepared wall will remain perfect.
No. Texture, dust, moisture, fresh or low-surface-energy paint, silicone, masonry, temperature, and wall damage can prevent reliable adhesion. S2 evaluates the actual surface before specifying a wall graphic.
Yes. Frosted film can obscure detail while transmitting light; opaque graphics can block the view; perforated film can preserve some daytime outward visibility. Privacy changes with lighting, especially at night.
Some Colorado jurisdictions and property owners regulate window coverage, copy, illumination, and total sign area. S2 reviews the address and landlord criteria for permanent or extensive storefront graphics.
Vector logos are ideal for cut vinyl and clean scaling. High-resolution raster files are needed for photographic prints. S2 can review available files and explain what can be used before production.
Start with the basics
We can recommend the film after seeing the glass, wall, door, panel, light, and intended viewing side.
You do not need to identify the exact material or vinyl type before contacting us. The address, photos, goal, dimensions, and deadline are enough to begin.
Attach photos, logos, measurements, landlord criteria, and project documents above. Larger or additional files may also be emailed to hello@s2signs.com.
